Building Surveying and Project Management

Built in 1910, the timber frame had been seriously neglected for many years resulting in widespread wet rot and death watch beetle infestation. The building is listed as Grade II* and is often described as the “most photographed building in Chester”.

 

HM Role

Building Surveying and Project Management

Initially involved in defending a dilapidations claim against a tenant HM was appointed by the Mall Corporation to design and project manage the repairs to the building. Work was of a highly technical nature with the project completed on time and within budget. The project was commended at the RICS North West Awards 2008 honouring outstanding work in the Conservation of a Structure.
